How does Multi Jet Fusion work?

MJF builds parts layer by layer from fine polyamide powder. No support structures are needed; the unfused powder in the chamber carries the part throughout the build.

A powder layer is spread

The chamber is heated

Fusing and detailing agents are jetted

Infrared energy fuses the powder

The build platform lowers one layer

Repeats until the part is done

The result: high-density parts, close to isotropic, that come out the same every time.

What is MJF? How is it different from FDM and SLA?MJF is HP's powder bed fusion technology. Fine polyamide powder is spread layer by layer, and the areas where we apply fusing agent are melted with infrared energy. The difference: FDM parts stay weak along the layer direction, and SLA parts are brittle. MJF needs no support structures, gives near-equal strength in every direction and is suitable for end use.Which file formats do you accept?Accepted formats: STL · STEP · STP · OBJ · 3MF · PDF (technical drawing). If you work in parametric CAD, exporting the model as STEP is enough. Upload your file to the quote form and we'll prepare your quote together with a manufacturability check.What if I don't have a 3D file?If you have a physical sample or a technical drawing, we turn it into a manufacturable CAD model through 3D scanning and reverse engineering. We use this most often for discontinued spare parts; once you approve the model, we move to production.How many parts do you make? Is there a minimum order?We have no minimum order quantity; we produce anything from a single prototype to thousands of parts. You get series production quality without investing in a mould.What determines the price of my part?The main factors are the volume of the part and the space it takes in the build, the order quantity, the material chosen and the post-processing required. There is never a mould or tooling cost. Send your CAD file and we'll come back with a firm price and lead time.What is your lead time?Our lead time is 3 to 5 business days, varying with size, quantity and post-processing. We give a firm date with the quote and can plan urgent work with priority.How is delivery handled?We ship anywhere in Türkiye and worldwide by courier. Parts are produced at our facility in Istanbul and shipped after dimensional measurement and quality control. Priority production scheduling is possible for urgent projects.How is the confidentiality of my design files protected?CAD files and project information are treated as confidential by default. On request, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is signed before work begins. Files are seen only by the team involved in quoting and production, and are never shared with third parties.Which industries do you work with?We work with industrial companies developing their own products, primarily in robotics and automation, industrial machinery, automotive, medical and UAV/drone development. Applications range from benchtop jigs and work-holding fixtures to end-use parts. If your industry isn't on the list we can still talk about the project; what matters is what the application requires.
